Sender ID is the alpha-character name or number which appears on the mobile phone as the sender of a SMS (It is used to identify who’s sending the message to the recipient). Sender ID can be an alpha character name such as the name of your company. You can enter Sender ID for approval, once approved all your SMS notifications will be sent with approved sender id for you.

1 SMS unit for normal text messages is of 160 characters, and for unicode the limit is 70 characters. More than 160 characters will count as multiple message units and each unit consisting of 153 characters.Likewise message more than 70 characters with Unicode Characters will count as multiple message units, then each unit consisting of 67 characters.
Unicode is a computing industry standard for the consistent encoding, representation, and handling of text expressed in most of the world's writing systems. Unicode sms contains characters which are not found in GSM-7 character set.Normal sms unit contains 160 GSM-7 characters which includes all latin characters A-Z,0-9 and some special characters.
